Ten punkt postanowień Paktu Północnoatlantyckiego wykorzystała Polska, a nasz wniosek poparły Litwa i Łotwa. Był to moment rosyjskiej inwazji na Ukrainę wiosną 2014 r. Po trzech latach wojny coraz głośniejsza staje się dyskusja o tym, który kraj i ile środków przekazał na pomoc walczącej Ukrainie.

W praktyce art. 4 nie odnosi się do rozpoczęcia działań militarnych, a państwo, które z niego korzysta, sygnalizuje jedynie, że czuje się zobacz nagłówki wiadomości z łatwością zagrożone.
